POWERS

Black Widow: This is a power that is unique to Zoe, but it's more like a curse. It causes fatal hemorrhage by coitus. Yes, that absolutely does mean she cannot have sex without killing someone. The only exception from this power is if her suitor is already dead (see: Kyle).

Power Negation: The ability to cancel out another person's magic and/or voodoo curse temporarily. This is a power that Zoe was unaware that she had until she was under great stress.

Vitalum Vitalis: balancing life and death. Witches have the ability to transfer life forces to dead or almost dead people in order to heal them and it can also be used to drain the life force from someone, but this power in particular has a weakness. Side effects can be dizziness or fainting because of how much energy it takes out of them.

Telekinesis: the ability to manipulate objects with the power of the mind.

Concilium: imposing the will of oneself into another's mind. basically, mind control or coercion. This ability can be resisted, but it may cause more harm than good to do so, because it can cause so much intracranial pressure that the resister's mind can literally explode.

Descensum: also known as astral projection. usually used by chanting an incantation, it's the ability to spiritually descend into the afterlife/netherworld or into hell, which shows them their greatest fears. If used for too long, a witch's body will turn into dust.

Divination: the ability to obtain information from an object/person/place/event without using physical senses. It's something that can be triggered by a person, touching something, or searching for information.

Transmutation: aka teleportation! Zoe (along with other witches) can transport herself from one location to another.

Spellcraft: having the affinity for casting spells and performing rituals. Zoe was the only one out of the girls in the series that was particularly skilled in this ability and has quite a knack for it.
